Relever la nuit
Léonie Rose Marion

At a time when it is now practically impossible to see the natural night sky anywhere in Switzerland, Léonie Rose Marion addresses the impact of artificial illumination on our environment. Her work Relever la nuit examines the light pollution created by our way of life and its consequences for ecosystems. She documents the disappearance of the night using various photographic techniques and registers. The exhibition thus gathers several kinds of images: photo stills, documentary images, experimental and scientific images, diagrams, etc. By treating light and darkness as her research materials, she makes a subtle exploration of the various characteristics and paradoxes of the medium of photography.
