The hidden beauty of research
SNSF Scientific Image Competition

Science involves not only neutrality and objectivity, but also personal commitment, painstaking effort and serendipity. The images it generates offer new perspectives on the world around us and the hidden beauties it conceals.

The hundreds of works submitted each year to the SNSF Scientific Image Competition bear witness to the diversity of modern approaches to gaining knowledge. The exhibition of winning works selected by the competition’s international jury reveals fresh visions of contemporary research, taking us into a strange and fascinating world.
