Les Deux Labyrinthes
Michel Le Belhomme
This series is an analysis, via a structural and analytical approach, of the representation of the landscape and its relation to the actual territory. It offers a sidelong vision, shifted by a series of hybridizations and mutations.
Using shifts and tangents, the “hall of mirrors” effect of the photographic mise en abîme is used for a new purpose. Through a dysfunctional collision with the brute matter of reality, the ambition is to go beyond any immediate contemplation or dizzying virtuosity. From images of images and representations of representations, there arises a free-floating dialectic between the intensification of the subject and its erasure.
