A Plastic Tool
Maya Rochat
A Plastic Tool was developed on the basis of Maya Rochat’s personal research into images of all kinds. The resulting collage is made up of images that stand out in their materiality, their structural density, their relevance, and their critical stance. The tranformation of the images into a collage reveals their falsity and superficiality. A Plastic Tool is thus a critical reflection on the production and the reception of images in our society.
This installation was conceived for the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography.
