Nelly Rodriguez
This long-term project consists in seeking out hermits and getting close to them and to their way of life. Nelly Rodriguez often finds them in remote areas of the Swiss countryside. The images that she brings back depict a reality that is little known, while also addressing various issues such as solitude, one’s choice of lifestyle, the encounter with others, and the relationship between society and nature.
This series in progress, exhibited for the first time at the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography, alternates between portraits of people and the spaces, both built and natural, in which they live their lives.
