State of Shame

The project State of Shameis a collection of found images taken at trials in law courts, showing suspects whose guilt is not yet proven. By collecting these pictures published in the media and isolating the shapes of the suspects, the artist addresses the relationship among the accused, the photographer and the mass audience and questions the impact of images on our social identity.
