“Coming Soon” Natan Dvir’s series of photographs taken in New York City, is a critique of the era of omnipresent advertising in which we live. In the background, gigantic temporary posters in loud colours announce the opening of a new shop, while the pedestrians and street vendors in the foreground become passive spectators to their own city, subjected to its advertising. The images have a flamboyant aesthetic, and become dynamic thanks to the artist’s subtle framing and juxtaposition of elements.
