Sara-Lena Maierhofer takes on the role of a detective to profile the extraordinary life of Clark Rockefeller, a.k.a. Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, and to construct the story of his work. In “Dear Clark,” a work that is part fiction and part documentary, she examines from a distance this con-man who took delight in moving among his different identities.
The photographs, collages, found documents, and videos retrace her investigation, the goal of which was to capture the identity of someone who is constantly changing.
