Beat Schweizer
In 2020, the photographer Beat Schweizer moved with his family to the US. A few months later, he found himself confined to a small apartment in the center of New York City. He began to observe up close his family apartment and the everyday activities that took place within it. He then created a blog, which he filled with the images he was creating. His photo series All Things Considered is made up of poetic and intimate scenes taken within his family apartment, from the living room to the bedroom. In these images composed in clear tones, daylight flows in, and as in certain Dutch paintings there is a particular atmosphere of time being suspended.
His series is complemented by documentary shots taken in the deserted city, referring obliquely to the political context, to the pandemic and to the passage of time. A gentle and powerful photographic testimony.
